Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics

Essentially, there are 2 ways of getting the ball rolling:

• Option 1: You provide us access to your Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 accounts. We'll create the required containers and properties, set up the required client-side tracking and then create the actual Server-Side Google Tag Manager container.
• Option 2: We create the required containers and properties on our end and migrate access to you once the configuration is complete.

Google Cloud Platform

The simplest and most effective way of implementing Server-Side Tracking is by provisioning a server in Google Cloud Platform. In order to do this, you'll need a Google Account with billing configured. Details can be found in Google's Documentation. This is an important step to ensure is ready on your end as your Google account will be running the provisioned server(s). You can add us as a collaborator to the account while we perform the setup.

DNS Access for Alias Setup

In order to set up a custom URL for your server, and ensure events are sent with first-party cookies, an alias needs to be set up, which sets up a subdomain that we can use. For example, serverside.yourdomain.com. To be able to do this for you, we'll need access to your DNS control center (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, etc). Alternatively, we can provide you the required records and you can add them on your end, if providing access is not something you can do.

Magento Admin and SSH Access

If you purchase the service alongside the Google Analytics 4 PRO extension and you require us to install it for you, we'll need access to your Magento 2 server, including SSH access and the Magento Admin URL and credentials.
